Christians have for many years met in the Gospel Hall in North Augusta following the pattern of the early Christian churches. Our only guide is the unchangeable, eternal Word of God - the Bible. Our goal is to serve God and the community in worship, prayer, Bible study, children's outreach, and evangelism.
We have no denominational affiliation or central headquarters, but are solely responsible to Christ who is the risen Head of the church. We desire to provide a warm and spiritual atmosphere. Eternal life and lasting peace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the message of the Bible. Our manner of gathering encourages spiritual development and growth through Bible study and teaching. We place great value on families. We strive to supply relevant moral training and spiritual guidance for young people. We invite you and your family to attend our orderly, reverent services. Nothing brings as much joy and happiness into a person's life as God's salvation. We welcome your comparison of our order of meeting and doctrine with the Biblical record.
The only collection is Sunday morning and according to (1 Cor 16:2) is limited to those in fellowship. God's work done in His way never suffers from lack of funds.
We believe the Bible is the living, unchanging Word of God. Every word is inspired by God. It is completely relevant and reliable and sufficient.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God and that He became a man in order to die on the cross as a substitute for sinners. He rose from the dead three days later, and today He is in Heaven. His sinless life, miracles, fulfilled prophecy, and resurrection all testify to His Deity.
We believe that our sin separates us from God and renders us helpless to save ourselves. Only through faith in the death of Christ can we be cleansed and forgiven, a salvation that is offered indiscriminately to all.
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith. Eternal life is found exclusively in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Reception of Christ as Savior and Lord is necessary if one is to ever be in heaven.
We believe that Heaven is the eternal home of the saved and that Hell is the abode of the lost. Each one that is saved by the grace of God can testify to the exciting change in their lives when they trusted Christ and received with joy sins forgiven and the assurance of Eternal Life.
